“These Streets Will Make You Feel Brand New The Lights Will Inspire You, Let’s Hear it for New York! New York! New York”
Hey Loves’ happy Throwback Thursday to you all! I know I’ve been out of the loop for about a week now and while I’ve missed you all I must say I really needed this mini business/vacation. Although I planned on taking lots and lots of pictures to post here on my blog of my trip I unfortunately forgot my camera at home. Yup just like me to plan everything out and ultimately forget the most important thing the camera! LOLL Oh well I made do with what I had my trusty iPad!
So for the past week I’ve been to Maryland, Washington D.C., New Jersey and New York, all in a span of nine days. Most of it business but I would be lying if I said I didn’t manage to sneak some fun in there too. Of course one of my favorite stops is always New York, the birthplace of my husband and some of the most fabulous shopping on the PLANET! Yes I did manage to get some shopping in and take a trip to the fabric/garment district while in the NYC. Now this is normally where I get really excited (shopping) but the freaking temperature/humidity was AWEFUL! Obviously they’ve been experiencing a heat wave (per the Starbucks team) and I happened to pick one of the hottest/humid days to go shopping.
Needless to say I only made it through two fabric stores AKN Imports and Fine Fabrics before I gave up! LOL Searching through all that fabric was very overwhelming not to mention I was dripping wet and extremely tired. If there was one thing I learned from this experience it’s make a list of specific stores you want to visit, don’t pick the hottest day and be prepared to spend HOURSSSS going through tons of FABULOUSNESS! Trust me when I tell you that I plan on going back real soon when I truly have time to spend without having to worry about business thus I can shop until I fall out. All in all this has been a great trip and although I hadn’t planned on being gone this long I have to admit I truly enjoyed my time away from the everyday grind! Well loves I could go on and on in this post about what, when, where and how my trip has been going but I’ll stop here and leave you with a few pictures until we touch base again next week.
Hugs
Shari
