When Life Throws You A Rainy Day, Learn to Play In The Puddles!
~unknown~
Hello loves and happy almost New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday and you have awesome plans to bring in the New Year. While I had major plans to spend my holiday break sewing, cooking, shopping and getting some much needed rest; unfortunately things didn’t really turn out as I planned. Two days into my actual vacation I had a mishap while coming out of my studio that threw a real big monkey wrench into my plans! One evening as I was stepping out of my studio I had a really bad fall resulting in a terribly painful injury. Yes Loves, I fell and broke my fibula and fractured another bone in my ankle/foot! OH and it gets WORSE! Yes it ‘s my sewing driving everything right leg! Not to make light of the left because I cherish them both but the reality is my dominant side is my right.
Needless to say as a result of my injury I’ve been banned from the sewing machine and anything else that requires constant stress on my leg for six to eight weeks. Of course I was totally devastated and it’s been a bitter pill to swallow but if I want it to heal correctly I have to do what the doctor says or at least try my best (teeeheeheee). I mean really sitting with my leg up with no sewing or creating is extremely difficult for me so hey I make no promises but I’ll try!! Since my husband is home with me for a minute I don’t have a choice but boyyyyyyyy when he goes back to work I’m outta here! LOLLL So while I’m on sofa and bed ARREST I’ll be working on different ideas I have for the blog and preparing my content calendar for the upcoming year. I may be able to slip a few projects that don’t require heavy sewing in here and there but if for some reason I can’t, I promise to keep the creative love flowing with other interesting topics. So don’t count me out just yet because I plan to bring the fabulousness to you every week no matter what! In the meantime enjoy the rest of your week and Happy New Year to you all!
Hugs
Shari
