“I'd like to believe that the women who wear my clothes are not dressing for other people, that they're wearing what they like and what suits them. It's not a status thing.”
~Marc Jacobs~
I have often been asked what I consider my personal style to be and how I decide what pieces to add to my closet. Well I've thought about this long and hard and I must say I don’t have one particular style that I absolutely ascribe to. I truly like a little bit of everything and believe that different pieces whatever the style, trend or cost can have its place in your closet. For me style is simply an extension of who you are; it’s a way of expressing how and what you’re feeling in that very moment.
While I do believe in dressing age appropriate that doesn't mean I allow others to dictate what that means for me. I simply wear what I like, be it a tank with torn jeans or an off the shoulder little black dress, I wear what looks good and works for my body type. I’m really not into the big brand names or what others say is “hot” right now. For me it truly is about mixing and meshing pieces together to create what not only looks good but compliments my body in the most flattering way. So the bottom line is, if it looks good and works for your particular body type then Rock It Out!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and to all the mothers out there
“Happy Mother’s Day!”
