"Listen! The wind is rising and the air is wild with leaves; We’ve had our summer evenings now its time for October eves!"

Good morning lovelies! Did I say how much I really love FALL? Well I’m going to say it again, I absolutely love fall weather! The unfortunate thing is I don’t live in a state that cooperates or accommodates my love for cooler weather. Nevertheless my love for fall fashion is very much alive as I find myself drawn to layering garments, thick textiles and warmer hues. For me the real fun with fashion begins in Fall as we figure out stylish ways to cover up and stay warm.
My Moto has always been “give me a great coat, fab pair of high heels a luxurious handbag and I am good to go!” To be honest what women doesn’t enjoy a fabulous Olivia Pope coat and a pair of four-inch high heels! I know I’m a sucker for both. Consequently as I mentioned the opportunity to sport my collection of all things fall as a California resident is far and few between. As a result I’ve learned how to be a little more creative in how I use fall fabrics in a way that works for our not so fall weather.
Of course I love how warm hues look on my skin especially the camel/caramel color used for today’s look. Anytime I can get my hands on fabric in this particular color I buy as much of it as I can. There’s just something about this color that never gets old. So I thought it would be great to make a cowl neck halter (I created using a draping method I learned years ago) with a pair of wide leg palazzo pants and gold accessories to finish it off. I hope you enjoy the pictures and are inspired to get out there and sew something for fall! Have a great day lovelies I will check in with you on Friday when I post the fabulous tutorial you’ve been waiting for.
Hugs
