“Building a well balanced, versatile wardrobe takes time and thought. It isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon.”

Good morning lovelies! The weekend is over and here we are preparing for another workweek ahead. While some may gripe and moan about it being Monday I choose to look at it as another opportunity to catch up with all of you. I hope you had a chance to get some sewing done over the weekend or at least strategize about what projects you want to work on in the near future. As for me I decided to work on a look I had been dying to make for some time now. So my first task was figuring out if there was a pattern I could use to achieve the look or if drafting was going to be in my near future. Then it was on to the fabric and deciding which textile would work best for what I was trying to accomplish.
Since this was going to be a trial run I didn’t want to risk ruining some really fabulous fabric, so I decided to use a black jersey I’ve had in my stash for some time now. As luck would have it I was on the right track with my pattern ideas and achieving the look would be a lot easier than I thought. I will admit that while I can’t wait to make this one again I would definitely choose a different fabric something like a crepe de chine, rayon challis or even a silk georgette would all be great choices for this particular look. All and all I’m happy with the way things turned out and as I stated I will definitely be making this one again real soon! Well lovelies that’s going to do it for me today. I hope you enjoy the pictures and that you have a fabulous rest of the week.
Hugs
