"Pay Attention to what attracts you. One of the most powerful questions you can ask is what am I drawn to?"
~Carrie McCarthy & Danielle LaPorte~
As I work towards my goal of building the MD Threadz blog and brand I find myself concentrating on the things that attract me, those things that draw me in and inspire me. In working through the process of taking MD Threadz to the next level I realize the importance of being able to translate my ideas in a manner that successfully coincides with my overall vision.
The same thing happens when I think about what I want to sew next, or what patterns I can use to convey the ideas in my head to a beautiful garment I can be proud of. Sometimes I nail it and other times not so much! The key thing to remember is to never stop looking and turning towards those things that inspire you. Great moments and garments will happen but only when you persevere! I hope you all have a wonderful day and a productive rest of the week! Muah!

Jumpsuit
The top was made using Butterick 5878 view B. I extended the sleeve about 7 inches and used the cut and slash method to achieve the large bishop sleeve I desired. (please check my YouTube channel under “Shari Williams for instructions on the bishop sleeve)
For the pants I used Butterick 4807 View B.
In order to get the attached drape piece in the front of the pants I used the front pants piece without cutting the crotch area of the pants. Basically extending the inseam of the pants all the way to the waist of the pattern piece eliminating the crotch area all together.
(Please feel free to email me at if you have any questions on how to recreate this jumpsuit)
Thanks to my beautiful sister Halili who got up early this morning to take pictures of me! It was foggy and cold outside but she did a great job anyway! Smooches sissy!
