“Style is something each of us already has all we need to do is find it!”

Happy Thursday my lovely sew family!!!! I hope everyone is having a fabulous week thus far and that your creative sewing juices are flowing freely. Before we get started with today’s post I just want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to stop by my blog and check out what I’m doing here at My Daily Threadz. I hope you know that I read every one of your comments and am encouraged all the more to keep moving forward on this journey as a new sewing & fashion blogger. Reading what you all have to say and knowing that I in some way inspired you to get out there and sew is an amazing feeling! Smooches to you all and please keep the comments, questions, laughs and love coming! MUAH!
Now I’m going to move on with the rest of today’s post before I start tearing up! Last night was pretty rough thanks to my son (my baby! He’s 12 yall) who wasn’t feeling well. All night I kept hearing a faint voice at the end of the hallway bellowing “MOMMY,” “MOM” “MOMMMMM.” Needless to say I didn’t get to finish my project and as far as sleep, well that just didn’t happen. I was so excited about finishing the dress I started yesterday so I could share it with you today but oh well a mothers work……. you know the rest. Normally I don’t show any of my work until it’s finished, styled and ready for pictures but I’m slowly learning that when life throws you a curve ball you just pick up the bat and swing! So here we GO!
I purchased this vintage pattern sometime last year and I finally decided to give it a shot. Although I fell in love with the pattern the first time I saw it on Etsy I wasn’t exactly sure how it would look on my frame. For some reason I just couldn’t picture myself in this particular style of dress nevertheless I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to purchase it while I had the chance. Well, I’m so glad I decided to buy this pattern because I actually LOVE IT! While the low cut V-neck is definitely an adjustment for me I’m still in love with it. I hope to have it all wrapped up, styled and ready for pictures first thing tomorrow morning. I guess it’s true what they say, that your creative life begins at the end of your comfort zone! Enjoy the pics of my almost finished dress!

I'm not a big fan of this Poly knit blend fabric but I wanted to try the pattern out before using something I really love!

Added Draw string inside the dress!
Need to finish cuff on this sleeve and add the other sleeve/cuff!
Made the shorter version and its still to long! Sheesh will be cutting it again!
Almost there! I can't wait to get home and finish!
