Hello Lovelies and happy Tuesday to you all! I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend filled with lots of sewing and creativity. Personally I took this weekend as an opportunity to catch up on some much needed rest and relaxation. Of course I managed to squeeze some sewing in but for the most part it was all about family, food and SLEEP!
So while I work to get back in the swing of things this week I decided to keep this post short and sweet. You may recall me stating on last week’s blog that I was playing around with some patterns just to see how many looks I could come up with by changing or adding a few simple design elements. One pattern I obviously adore is simplicity 1613 and I need not tell you how many options one could come up with using this particular pattern.
Of course I could go on forever with ideas for this pattern but I thought why not do something chic and classic using the same black/nude knit fabric everyone seemed to enjoy from last week. This fabric is so funky, fabulous and versatile you could do just about anything with it! I will admit I wasn’t to sure about the fabric or design in the beginning but as soon as I tried it on I realized I had a winner. Well loves I hope you like it and maybe even consider it a winner in your book as well. In the meantime I have fabulous ideas of emerald green dancing around in my head so until next time have an awesome rest of the week!
Hugs
Shari

Skirt is drafted using the Mermaid Skirt Tutorial but stopping at the knee. Keep in mind you should cut the back skirt as two pieces creating a split that will allow you to walk when using any fabric other than knits. If you use knits you may also want to add a split I chose not to for this skirt but definitely would for others.
