“Perseverance is Stubbornness With A Purpose”
~Josh Shipp~
Good Morning Love’s it’s Tuesday hot and humid here in Cali! When I tell you that even the wind is hot I’m mean just that! Our weather is totally crazy right now one day it’s hot the next its sprinkling and humid UGHHH! Oh well living in California you learn to live with the ups and downs the only problem is my wardrobe is all over the place right now. LOLL
Anyhoo as many of you know I’m having my first Meet & Greet Closet sale at the end of this month so I’ve been extremely busy and sleeeeeeepy! Whew! Trying to get everything planned, work full time, continue with the blog and take care of my family is more than a notion. The one thing that keeps me going without falling over into a deep sleep coma, is knowing that the end result will be an AWESOME event! For those of you who are in the area stop on buy say hello, ask your sewing/draping questions, nibble on some goodies and just hang out with me for a spell. I would love to see you there!
While I continue to plan for the event I've also tried to get some projects done to share with you here on the blog. One of the projects I recently completed was this purple one shoulder top with decorative pleats all around the top. Now believe it or not this top is really simple to drape even for the beginner. I saw something similar somewhere on Pinterest (lost the inspiration pic) and decided to do my own version in purple to match a pair of fabulous green pants I made using Burda 6966. I thought about offering the complete ensemble for sale at the event but since I really don’t want to make this one again I think I’ll keep it! LOL On another note I recently received a ton of new equipment to assist with shooting videos and taking pictures, unfortunately I'm still learning how to use it! So while I tried taking pictures with the assistance of family twice neither seemed to live up to my expectations!! Needless to say I will definitely take pictures in this ensemble again to display here on the blog but in the meantime here is a sneak peek to hold you over!!! I also added a mini collage to give you an idea of how the draping process for this top actually works (see at the bottom). Here's to a wonderfully creative weekend Loves check in with you later in the week.
Hugs
