“Simple is the new Black”
~unknown author~
Happy Friday Loves!! Is anyone else excited about the weekend or is it just me? I swear these 11-12 hour days I’m working are killing me and it leaves very little room for anything else including sewing. Hopefully a little bit of rest is all I’ll need to get back in the saddle again. So while I try to get a little rest I’m going to leave you with this fabulous DIY Pictorial for the 80’s jumpsuit I shared with you earlier this week. I think its pretty straight forward and simple but if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to leave a message on my contact page and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. Until next time loves happy sewing and I hope you enjoy this little pictorial.
Hugs
Shari
I used a vintage top pattern for this jumpsuit that may no longer be available. With that said I’ve included several current pattern options that will work for this look as well.
Here are a few more Top Patterns to choose from!
If you are lucky enough to find the vintage pattern I used please note the following:
First measure yourself from your natural waist to your dropped waist where your pants would normally rest on you. Then on the top pattern piece (front and back) go to the natural waist line and draw a line down however many inches you just measured plus 1-2 inches extra if you want it to have blousing (is that a word LOL) effect to it like mine. Once you measure down draw a line and fold the top pattern pieces on that line. Now you can match up the pants pieces as shown in the tutorial. If you don't do this your crotch area will hit the floor because the top pattern is super long.LOLL. Happy Sewing.
