"I’m Not Telling You It’s Going To Be Easy, I’m Telling You It’s Going To Be Worth It!"

Hello Sewing Loves and happy start of a new week to you all! This morning I woke up with the words of my Mother in my head! In her wonderful, positive and inspiring way she always says “Will yourself to have a great day no matter what!” So I’m taking her advice as I always do and declaring that today is an awesome day simply because I will it to be in my heart and in my mind!
This weekend consisted of dinner with the hubby, NBA All-Star basketball (especially the dunk contest), sewing, organizing and catching up on some much needed rest. Of course it didn’t start off that way because all I had on my mind was sewing forgetting that it was Valentine’s weekend. The good thing is my husband and I show love all year long so it’s not that big a deal to us! In fact we enjoy cooling out at home eating good food and enjoying one another’s company. This makes it real easy for me to sneak away to my studio and get some work done. LOLOf course if you know me you know I had a billion and I do mean ONE BILLION things to do. My head was literally spinning as I tried to knock the list down one task at a time when I realized there were a few things I promised to share with you a couple of weeks ago. I know, I know slap my hand I’m sorry but that’s why we’re here today! Today I’m going to share a few things that I recently started doing to help me stay organized, focused and on track.
After struggling to keep my head above water for over a year; working full time, being a wife/mother and trying to run a successful blog everything came to a head when I recently injured my ankle/leg. I realized that I let things get out of control I was working really hard but not necessarily really smart!! With that being said I started reorganizing my life COMPLETELY! So this week I’ve decided to show you what steps I’ve taken to propel myself forward in a more efficient organized manner. I hope you find the information that I share with you this week to be helpful and if there is anything else that you would like me to talk about please let me know and I will do my best to bring you what you want!
Hugs & Love

Okay so the first thing I decided to do was invest in two personal planners that fit my unique needs! I mean yes there are a tone of them out there but I needed something that was less cookie cutter and more conducive to the needs of M.D.T ! This is not the entire planner but in order to cut down on space I'm sharing my favorite parts! Check it out Yall!
I absolutely love the Idea's & Sketch Pages! It helps me bring my thoughts together so I can focus on what needs to be done!
Having a to do list that will help me stick to what I need especially when I'm fabric shopping is Fantastic!
Now we're getting to the meat and potato's of this thing! The Project Planner, Project Timeline and Project Tracker Pages! These are my absolute favorite pages of the entire planner! These particular pages help me carry out my ideas and plans for a particular project from beginning to end. Seriously Family if you're like me and you are easily distracted by the thoughts of another fabulous project before you complete the one you're working on this planner just may be the thing for you!
If you are interested in this or a similar planners Go To Etsy and do a search for Personal Business Planners! There are several sellers that have tons of reasonably priced fabulous products. Personally I like DoylePrintables this seller has really great products that fit a wide range of business needs.
