“I will always have this piece of my heart that smiles whenever I think about the pieces I’ve made throughout this sewing journey”
~me~
Hello sewing family it's throwback Thursday and wow do I have a throwback story for YOU! Well let me set the stage for you before I just jump into it. LOL So last night while working on a few sewing projects, a slide show of my previous work started playing across the screen of my computer. You know it’s one of those things that happens (sleep mode) when your computer hasn’t been active for a certain amount of time. I mean I wouldn’t want you to think I just sit around looking at pictures of myself! UHHHH Nope LOL
Anyhoo so I’m putting the final touches on a few pieces as I stated and this picture from two years ago pops up. When I glanced at it I immediately did a double take because I didn't remember the look at first glance. Funny how that happens! So I sat at my computer to take a better look when I realized MAN I'VE DONE A CRAPLOAD OF WORK OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS! LOLL I mean really there's a ton of stuff just hanging on racks waiting to be adorned. I'm not sure how I missed these pieces and why I hadn't included them with the others to be sold at last years Meet & Greet. Well I’ll tell you how and why, because I loved them and didn’t want to part with them at the time! LOLL Yes I know just TERRIBLE!
Of course I could lie to myself and say I'll get around to wearing it all but the truth is I probably won’t. It’s amazing how things pile up and get away from you especially when you have a sewing blog and you continue to make garments every month. Seriously something has got to give and the answer just may be sewing for others from time to time to ease the pressure of my bursting closets. Oh well I definitely have to figure something out, maybe even start a charity YES that just might be the way to go! Well loves while I work on trying to figure this thing out I hope you have a FABULOUS weekend and here’s a few pics of the throwback that started all of this.
Hugs
Shari
I draped this top myself in August of 2014 and I used my favorite Butterick Pattern 4807 for the pants
Man I really liked my hair that day! LOLLLLLLL
