"Oh so fresh and so clean clean!"
~ME~
Good morning loves I hope all is well with you this fabulous Wednesday morning! I’m totally geeked because we are on day three of the Freshen-Up Your Wardrobe series. Yes can you believe it we are halfway there and ready to share look #3 and #4 of the series. The reason I combined looks three and four for today’s post is because it’s sort of a mixing and matching with the addition of one new piece the fabulous fitted neoprene skirt. Also due to the request from you lovely threaders I wanted to wrap this week’s series up with a few tips and how to videos to help you through the process. Okay so before I move on I have to say this skirt is absolutely fabulous and it fits like a perfect glove ahhh the beauty of neoprene. While I haven’t always been a fan of neoprene and/or scuba I must admit that given the proper design concept they totally ROCK!
Now if you’ve really been paying attention you’ll notice this particular top can be worn crisscrossed in front or simply wrapped behind the neck as a halter. AHHHH you didn’t notice that did you? Or did you? What am I thinking of course you caught that! LOLL The versatility of this top was another reason it was a hands down choice for this series. When you think of all the colors and fabric choices one could use to re-create this top pattern, you realize the options are literally limitless. From full to fitted skirt, joggers to long or wide leg pants, just about anything will work with this pattern which truly is the beauty of it all.
So there you have it sewing loves my simple easy and quick Freshen-up your wardrobe patterns. I hope you enjoyed my choices and maybe just maybe you’ll be inspired to create your own versions for your closet. At the very least I hope you’ll think about choosing a few patterns of your own and giving your spring/summer wardrobe the boost it needs without breaking the bank!
Hugs
Shari
Skirt Fabric:
Skirt made of Black Neoprene I scored from a little hole in the wall shop in Downtown Los Angeles! I mean all they had was three yards of it and I took it all! The funny thing is they didn't even know it was there!LOL What a SCORE for MEEEE!
While the pattern in the skirt (View C) has darts I will show you how to remove them if you choose and of course how to lengthen the flounce to your liking later in the week! Stay Tuned!
