The No. 1 Rule of Fashion:
“Always Wear What You Want To Wear”
End of Rules!
~unknown~
Hello sewing and fashion loves! I’m soooo excited to be back home settled in and ready to share with you all again. While I love taking business trips from time to time there’s just something about being home that feels good! Of course we have lots to catch up on loves and I have tons to get done so let’s jump right into today’s post.
First let me start off with a CONFESSION! Okay so whenever I’m away on business I make sure to find out where the nearest Mall and best restaurants are located. Yes y'all I’m a serious foodie too! LOL I figure if I’m going to be gone for one or two weeks I need to blow off some steam with some serious retail therapy and great food. So during one of my retail therapy sessions this trip I noticed a woman wearing the most fabulous pair of “hippie” Bell-Bottom jeans, sandals and cotton top that I’ve seen in a LONG time. I mean a LONG TIME!
Now if you don’t know let me just say I have a serious Me & Mrs. Jones love affair with 70’s fashion especially bellbottom jeans and off the shoulder tops. Of course when I saw her I did a double take, removed my glasses and quickly turned around to follow her! Okay don’t get all weird on me y'all it wasn’t in a stalker kind of way, it was more of a “Please tell me where you purchased those jeans” kind of way. LOL Long story short she chuckled gave me a smile and said “Yes I love these too and you’ll be happy to know I purchased them at Free People at the other end of the Mall.” Well I don’t have to tell you I went straight to free people grabbed a pair and instantly fell in LOVE! So much so that when I got home I made an off the shoulder hi-low top to pair with it, giving me more of an updated hippie look if you will. LOLI love it when a plan comes together! It just goes to show you that fashion stalking is only a crime if you let it pass you buy! Have a fabulous day Loves see you later in the week!
Hugs
Shari
