"Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything burst with it's last beauty, as if nature has been saving up all year for the grand finale."
~Lauren deStefano~
Hello family I know it's been a minute since you've seen a post from me but like many of you I've been traveling and visiting family for the holiday's. Being able to spend time with family is one of my absolute favorite things, so the fact that I'm able to take time off and travel to the east coast makes me so very happy. Not only do I get to hang out with my fam bam but I finally get to wear my winter coats, boots and sweaters which is just icing on the cake for me! Of course I was quickly reminded that west coast coats and scarves don't really make the cut when dealing with east cost temperatures in the 30's and 40's but I don't care I'm going to rock them anyway!
One thing I was truly excited to do over the Thanksgiving holiday was spend time with my baby girl whose away at college in Atlanta. My husband and I flew her in to Maryland where we were visiting family and we all drove into Washington D.C. to visit the African American History Museum, do some sight seeing and a little bit of shopping. I love being able to spend this time with my children while they still want to hang out with their dear old mom and dad knowing, soon they will be living their own lives and making their own way. I often wonder where the times went when I look at my children these days but I have to say I'm truly enjoying them at this age watching them interact, laugh and fool around like young adults. Watching these two grow and mature has been the best part of my life and I am thankful God blessed me with them!
Okay enough of the mushy stuff let's move on to what you came here for family Sewing and all things fabulous! LOL Okay so before I left for my vacation I was able to finish a few winter looks but unfortunately I didn't have time to take pictures. So I decided why not bring everything with me and take pictures when I get there. Well let's just say my family has tons of things for me to do and see so I still haven't managed to take any pictures yet but I will try to get around to it before I go. In the meantime I thought today would be as good a time as any to share the next four sessions of the Draping series. So while everyone else slept I spent most of my evenings editing videos since it was the only time I could actually get some work done. The good thing is I was able to finish editing all four sessions and while I'm not happy with the camera shot of the "draping the back bodice" session it will work for what we need to get accomplished for now. Don't forget if you haven't watched the first four sessions you really need to go back and do that otherwise the information in these videos won't make much sense. I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving holiday and that you truly take time to reflect on what's really important in life "FAMILY!" Hugs and kisses to you all!
Shari
