"Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful"
~Author Unknown~
Hello sewing loves so glad to have you stop on by my spot on this fabulous Wednesday. To be honest I wasn't sure I was going to make myself today but I bit the bullet and decided to come one through and share what almost didn't make it to the blog. Yes, dear sewing family I have to confess this one almost didn't make the cut! But for my sisters and a few close friends who talked me off the ledge and away from the trash can I'm here sharing a little something with you today.
You see what had happened was.........I went against my first mind and kept pushing the purple envelope for the sake of design and ended up going against my number one rule! That rule being "If you feel like you need to pull back then you probably should!" Unfortunately by the time I realized that I had gone way past my style statement (i.e, what's comfortable for me) it was too late. Yes family it was Monday morning time was up and my sister was ready to take pictures. Trust me I went back and forth with myself and my sisters about trashing it and blogging about something else until I could figure it all out. But as you can see by today's post I was talked off the ledge and decided it's okay to share even those things you're not too sure about. I guess you can say I'm simply human and sometimes I have a tendency to second guess certain projects this definitely being one of them.
Now don't get me wrong I don't hate it (I think) and honestly there's nothing wrong with the construction or style I just can't put my finger on why I want a do over with this one. Who knows maybe it's just me! At least that's what my sisters and friends had to say. I'm not really sure what it is that bothers me about it but I do know what I would do differently next time around should I tackle this pattern again. So loves since I didn't have time to actually make anything else because I was too busy celebrating my anniversary with the hubby, I decided to go ahead and roll with it! Oh well I'll live to sew and design another day! As long as there's fabric I''ll keep it moving knowing that some ideas turn out better than others. Who knows, I could be overreacting altogether, either way here it is y'all in all it's purple glory! Until next time loves I hope you have a fabulous sew week and remember always go with your GUT! LOL
Hugs
