“It always seems impossible until it’s DONE!”
~Nelson Mandela~
There is something about spring that seems to draw me to bright colorful fabrics with wild bold prints. I’m usually not attracted to very busy prints but this fabric really caught my eye and I thought it would look great against my skin. I didn't know exactly what I was going to do with it, until one of my sew sisters sent me an inspiration photo of Erica Campbell from the group Mary Mary wearing this simple yet stunning dress. Once I saw the photo I immediately knew I would use this print for my interpretation of the dress. While I did make a few slight changes to the dress/pattern I tried to keep it as close to the original design as possible.
I will definitely post a DIY video of how I created this look along with the Baby doll top from last week. I want to thank everyone that inquired about specific How-to videos of my sewing projects posted here on the blog. Just know that I am currently working on it and will post more videos very soon. I hope you have a wonderfully creative day and remember the phrase that pays is “Go Get It.”
Hugs
I used McCalls 6886 for the body of this dress and my own Bishop Sleeve tutorial post on my Video & DIY page.
