"Thinking Outside the Box Never Hurt Anyone!"
~me~
Happy Friday lovelies we finally made it to the end of the work week! I don’t know about you but I plan on enjoying a long relaxing weekend with family and friends. As I mentioned earlier this week I went fabric shopping last weekend and I tried to focus my attention on various prints and bright colors that I typically wouldn’t purchase for myself. I’m turning over a new leaf by trying to think outside the box a little more with regard to my fabric choices! I want to branch out into different textures, colors, patterns and prints that I would ordinarily shy away from when shopping for myself.
With that being said I decided to purchase this tie-dye knit fabric that I initially didn't care for to much. Of course it eventually grew on me so I decided to go with it. Now I had no idea what I was going to make with this fabric but I knew it had the potential to be great. So after spending almost an hour going through my pattern stash trying to figure out what I wanted to make I found this fabulously easy Burda pattern that I knew would be great.
What a gem this pattern is! It’s very simple to follow and takes less than an hour to make including cutting and over-locking your seams. I’m confident that the newbie sewer could accomplish this project just as easily as the seasoned sewer. Next week I’m going to share how I used the same pattern to create a bright yellow dress and a new jumpsuit that I believe you’re going to absolutely love. Well sew family that’s it for me this week I hope you have an enjoyable weekend and don’t forget to keep a look out for a new Fan Favorite DIY demo!
