“I want everyone to wear what they want and mix it in their own way. That, to me, is what is modern.”

Hello lovely sew family and happy Hump day to you all! I don’t know about you but boy I feel like this week is flying by. Here we are already at the middle of the week and I must admit I still haven’t done any sewing! I did however finish some pattern drafting projects and I draped a muslin skirt just to brush up on some skills but no actual sewing yet. While I have several projects already cut out somehow completing them keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list. Oh well! If you know anything about me you know I work really well under the gun so I guess that’s what I will be doing again this week! LOL
In lieu of all the work I have to get done I’m going to keep today’s post short and sweet! As I mentioned earlier in the week I spent so much time playing around with family and friends that I spent Saturday night cranking some things out quickly to prepare for my shoot on Sunday. In the midst of rushing to get things done I also realized that I haven’t really made any casual run around town garments lately. You know the ones you throw on when you don’t have a lot of time but you still want to look good! So I decided to make this really simple high low top and mix it with a pair of harem pants from my favorite DIY pattern. To kick the look up a notch I decided to use a knit Camouflage print for the pants just to add a little street jazz if you will. I really like how it all turned out; so much so that I made the same look using the beautiful black jersey fabric I picked up from Saman Tex a couple of weeks ago. So there ya have it lovelies’ simple and quick! I hope you enjoy what I’ve done with this look and that you think about giving it a try yourself! Have an awesome rest of the week!
Hugs
