Good Morning Lovely sew family! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend full of sewing and other projects that kept your creative juices flowing. While I did finish several sewing projects this past weekend I didn't have a chance to meet with my photographer for this weeks blog shoot. I had several meetings this weekend with my business partner and a few other fabulous people in the industry so unfortunately our usual meeting time for photos didn't work out. Of course I had some reserve pictures from a previous shoot that I haven't posted on the blog yet but I thought it would be nice to share something else with you today.
Over the weekend I had the pleasure of meeting with two amazing women who have worked in the fashion industry (textiles, styling & branding) for well over a decade. These amazing women not only opened their hearts to me but also allowed me to pick their brains regarding business, the industry and ways to grow the MD Threadz brand. I learned so much from them in such a short amount of time that I asked if they would mentor me as I work towards growing MD Threadz and they agreed. Meeting with such awesome women opened my eyes to not only the future of my blog but to the possible expansion of MD Threadz into a multifaceted brand. Of course you know me and how I love to share everything with my Threaders but unfortunately we felt it best not to share too much right now as we have a lot of work to do. What I can say is this, great things are coming to MD Thrreadz real soon and I guarantee you're going to love it.
In the meantime I thought I would share more of the wonderful perks that go along with being named one of Burda Styles top 50 sewing and fashion blogs of 2014. As one of the fifty winners I was able to choose five free online patterns that I would love to create and display here on the blog!! Well if you've never taken the time to go through the Burda Style online patterns its not an easy task especially when you want one of everything. It can be quite difficult trying to narrow down a list of everything to five of your top choices. Needless to say I narrowed down my list and decided on some fabulous patterns that I can't wait to give a try.
