Happy Throwback Thursday lovelies!!! I hope your week has been smooth thus far and your gearing up for a wonderful weekend. While I'm still flying high from all the fabulousness of the previous weekend I have had one or two little snafu's occur since we last touched base on Tuesday. Unfortunately on Wednesday evening around 10:45pm I had to lay my beloved sewing machine the Brother CS6000i to rest.
She was a good little machine and has provided me with countless hours of sewing-gasims. Although she breathed her last right in the middle of me sewing a winter coat, which was very frustrating I held her close and turned her light off around 11:00pm. Of Course I've been grieving and doing what I can to get over the loss but oh how I do miss her. I know to some it might seem strange that I would be so upset but I'm sure my fellow sewing comrades understand what I am going through. I have however decided that it's time to officially let go and let another sewing friend pick up where she left off.
With that being said I refuse to hastily buy a new machine just for the sake of getting things done so I'm taking my time and doing my research before I make my final decision. There are some really great sewing machines out on the market and I think its time to finally invest in something fabulous that will take a licking and keep on ticking. In the meantime I borrowed my daughters machine (not the best) in order to finish a couple of minor alterations to ensure that I am prepared for this weeks photo shoot.
Despite my loss I have been touched by the kindness of so many Threaders who reached out to offer me loaner machines, home repair suggestions and wonderful words of encouragement. Words can not express how much I appreciate my sew family for always being so patient and kind towards me. You are the reason why I continue to do what I do and share what I share. Stay tuned Threaders because great things are coming to MD Threadz real soon! Until then I leave you with these words "To whom much is given much is required!"
In memory of my "CiCi" aka CS6000i here's a few pics of a throw back Thursday Denim circle skirt!

This circle skirt may look really familiar and thats because it is! I made this simple little skirt in Suede for the Fall as well. This skirt takes all of 30 minutes including cutting and sewing time! So if you ever need a quick circle skirt and you don't feel like making one from scratch (which is also easy) here's
