Hey dear sewing family it’s HUMP DAY and oh what a week it’s been so far! First to all the mothers out there I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s day this past weekend surrounded by your loved ones, good food and great drinks! Lol As for me the weekend was GREAT! I was spoiled rotten by my husband, children and family and it was awesome!! While I didn't sew one stitch I must confess I wouldn't have traded one moment I spent with them for anything in the world. With that being said I’m going to make this quick and easy today.

This past week I received an inspiration photo of Solange wearing a Rosie Assoulin designer ensemble that just about knocked me out of my seat. Once I picked myself up off the floor I knew I wanted to create my own version of this look. Of course I wasn't sure when I was going to find the time to get it all done but I knew I was going to drape and create my own pattern from scratch. Well I’m done with the pattern, I cut it all out and I found time to sew quite a bit of the garment together. I hope to get it all wrapped up this weekend and ready to share with you soon! In the meantime I've posted a Draping pictorial on the DIY & Tutorial page of the blog for those who want to follow along and I will be shooting a video of the process soon. So go check out the step by step pictorial, I think you’ll find it easy to follow and maybe even worthy of giving a try yourselves.
