Hello loves, happy Monday! I had a wonderful weekend and while I would like to say it was due to sewing unfortunately I can’t! LOL I simply had a great time hanging out with my mom and lounging around the house. You know one of those weekends when all you do is grab a blanket sit in front of the fire and watch movies. Yessssss one of those weekends when nothing big or exciting happened but you still enjoyed it. Yup that was me this past weekend and I enjoyed each and every minute of relaxation!

Despair not family I did manage to squeeze in a photoshoot of the coordinating looks I plan to share this week in between movies and you’ll be happy to know I was finally able to fit my foot back into my fab high heels. LOLLL Trust me it was brief and only for pictures as I still have a hard time being able to bend my foot or walk in anything other than a tennis shoe. But hey I made it through and I have to admit it felt great being able to play dress up again!

Oh wait let me back up I seemed to have jumped pass my plans for the week right into wearing high heels again! LOLL Anyhoo this week I thought it would be great to share how adding a few basic pieces to your wardrobe can help freshen up your style without breaking the bank. So as we prepare for Spring/Summer I set my sights on a few basic patterns that I felt would be quick yet stylish, would work in almost any color or print and could be done by anyone no matter the skill level. I hope this week’s series inspires you to think about working within the realms of what you already have in your closet and maybe spice things up with a few quick and easy stylish pieces.
